THE BARBIE DIARIES PUPPET THEATER SHOW!
The lives of dolls take on new meaning as
we delve into Barbie's recent life
through her own writings. The diary
excerpts selected focus on the period
after her now famous split with Ken, and
include her marginally triumphant
emergence from a mindless stint at a
Salvation Army shelter, to her attempts
to rebuild her life and even reenter the
dating scene after a relationship that
inexplicably failed after 43 years.
Ultimately Barbie realizes her deep need
to be completely controlled, and how it
has shaped her life. Giving Bridget Jones
a run for her money, Barbies diaries
offer an intimate view from a dolls
perspective, humorous, yet with more
depth than you might expect from a blond,
plastic, fashion icon. From 6:30-8pm and
a steal at only $20 a ticket. Attendees
must be at least 18 years of age.

Victorian Miniature
Theatre was popular in the mid 1800s as a
parlor theatre. Traditionally the
theaters are made of paper, with the
figures (actors) being a simple form of
rod puppet that is controlled either from
the side or above. Also known as model
theatre, toy theatre, paper theatre, it
is today enjoying a renaissance among
collectors, re-creationists and
professional theatre artists with
numerous national and international
festivals presenting the art form (Little
Blue Moon has been featured thrice at the
Preetz Festival (Germany), twice at the
Great Small Works Festival (NY), the
Mourmelon Festival (France) as well as
several National Puppetry Festivals
around the country. In 2008 this theatre
form was recognized for the first time by
UNIMA-USA when Little Blue Moon's
productions of "Natalie" and
"The Widow" were awarded the
highest national honor for excellence in
puppet theatre, the UNI Award, founded by
Muppet creator Jim Henson.
NOTE: Little Blue Moon Theatre
is currently looking for intimate venues
in the San Francisco Bay Area for
presentation of our unique parlor
performances. See email address below to
